Dealer terms

Version 2026-09. These terms apply to every offer you make through Torq. You accept them on the offer form, and the version you accepted is recorded with your offer.

1. What Torq is

Torq is a WhatsApp car-buying assistant that works for the buyer. A buyer tells Torq what they want to buy. Torq finds dealers holding a matching car and invites them to make an offer, and passes each offer to the buyer set against comparable cars for sale.

Torq is operated by Netx Labs Ltd, company number 11348776. Torq works for the buyer. These terms are between you, the dealer, and Netx Labs Ltd, and cover how you take part.

2. Taking part

There is no account and no password. Torq contacts you by phone or email about a buyer, and sends you a link to a one-page offer form. Anyone who makes an offer on that form confirms that they are authorised to make it for the dealership.

Torq may email you about buyer opportunities and buyer questions. To stop, email dealers@gettorqing.com and Torq will not contact you again.

3. Offers are free to make

Making an offer costs nothing. Answering a buyer's question about a car you advertise is always free, and so is an introduction that follows a question rather than an offer.

You choose whether to make an offer each time. An offer should be at or below the price you advertise the car at.

4. The introduction fee

Torq charges a fixed fee per introduction. The amount is shown on the offer form before you submit, and that amount is the one that applies to that offer, whatever the fee is later. If the form says no fee applies, none ever will for that offer.

An introduction happens when a buyer asks Torq to put them in touch with you following your offer. The fee is charged then, and not before. It is not charged for offers the buyer does not take up, or for offers that expire.

Your first introduction is free. The fee applies from your second introduction onwards.

Torq is not registered for VAT and no VAT is charged. If that changes, Torq will tell you before it applies to any offer.

5. Invoicing and payment

Introductions are invoiced monthly in arrears, by email to the address you gave. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

While an invoice is overdue, Torq may stop sending you opportunities until it is paid.

6. When an introduction is credited

Torq credits the fee for an introduction where:

• the buyer's phone number does not work;
• the buyer had already bought a car elsewhere before you received their details;
• the same buyer was introduced to you twice about the same car; or
• the introduction was made in error by Torq.

To ask for a credit, email dealers@gettorqing.com within 14 days of the introduction and say which of these applies. A buyer who does not reply to you, or who decides not to buy, is not a reason for a credit.

7. No payment for ranking

Payment never buys ranking. Buyers are shown the whole market, including dealers who have nothing to do with Torq, and each offer is shown set against comparable cars for sale. What taking part gets you is the buyer's requirement, the evidence of how serious they are, a structured way to make your offer, and status on what happened to it.

8. Withdrawing an offer

You can withdraw an offer at any time from the link Torq sent you, for example because the car has sold. The buyer is told.

If you withdraw before the buyer asks to be introduced, nothing is charged. If you withdraw after the buyer has asked to be introduced, the introduction has happened and the fee still applies; the buyer is told the car is no longer available.

An offer that repeatedly turns out not to be available may lead Torq to stop sending you opportunities (section 10).

9. How buyer details may be used

Before an introduction you see what the buyer wants and how serious they are, never who they are. When a buyer asks to be introduced, you receive their first name and phone number so you can deal with them.

You may use those details only to deal with that buyer about that car and that enquiry.

• No marketing lists, and no adding the buyer to a mailing list or CRM campaign.
• No passing the details on to anyone else.
• Delete the details once the enquiry is over, unless you have a separate lawful reason to keep them.

10. Stopping opportunities

You can stop receiving opportunities at any time by emailing dealers@gettorqing.com.

Torq may stop sending you opportunities, or decline to pass on an offer, where:

• an invoice is overdue;
• buyer details have been used other than as section 9 allows;
• buyers complain about how they were treated;
• several opportunities in a row have had no response; or
• Torq decides to, with 14 days' notice by email.

Stopping does not affect fees already due.

11. Liability

Torq passes on what buyers say about themselves and what they want. Torq does not guarantee that a buyer will go ahead, or that anything a buyer told Torq is accurate.

Torq's total liability to you in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you paid to Torq in the 12 months before the claim. Torq is not liable for loss of profit, loss of sale or indirect loss.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

12. Changes to these terms

Torq may change these terms. A change applies to offers made after it, not to offers already made. The version in force is shown on the offer form.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
