Privacy notice for dealers
Version 2026-09. What information Torq holds about dealers and the people who work for them, where it came from, how long it is kept, and what buyer information a dealer receives.
1. What Torq holds about you
Torq holds business contact details for dealerships:
- phone number
- email address
- address
- website
- the name and role of the person Torq deals with, when given
If you register on this site, Torq also holds what you enter on the form: dealership name, website, contact name, email address, phone number and postcode.
If you make an offer, Torq holds the offer, the name and email address of the person who made it, and the version of the dealer terms they accepted.
2. Where it came from
- Your own website.
- Public dealer listings.
- What you tell Torq on a call, on the form, or by email.
3. Why Torq holds it
To bring you buyer opportunities and enquiries. That means contacting you by phone or email when a buyer wants a car like the ones you stock, or asks a question about a car you advertise, and passing your answers and offers to the buyer.
4. Calls
Torq's assistant may phone you about a buyer's question. It says at the start that it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded. Torq keeps a transcript of the call for 12 months and the audio for 30 days, so that a person can check what was said before anything is passed to the buyer.
If you ask not to be called again, Torq records that and does not call.
5. How long it is kept
- Dealership contact details: for as long as Torq brings dealers buyers, or until you ask for them to be removed.
- Offers and the record of who made them: for 6 years, as a record of what was agreed and charged.
- Call transcripts: 12 months. Call audio: 30 days.
6. How to correct or remove it
Email dealers@gettorqing.com. Tell Torq what is wrong, or ask for your details to be removed. Torq will stop contacting you within 5 working days. Records of offers already made and fees already charged are kept, as section 5 says.
7. What buyer data you receive, and when
Before an introduction. You see what the buyer wants (make, model, years, budget, mileage and distance), how far along they are, and activity evidence in plain words. You do not see a name or a phone number.
After the buyer asks to be introduced. You receive the buyer's first name, as they gave it to Torq, and their mobile number. Nothing else. This happens only when the buyer asks Torq to introduce them to you, following an offer you made or a question you answered.
You may use a buyer's details only to deal with that buyer about that enquiry. No marketing lists. No passing the details on. Delete them once the enquiry is over. See the dealer terms.
8. This website
This website loads no external fonts, scripts or trackers. The registration form sends what you type to Torq and nowhere else.
9. Who is responsible
Torq is a trading name of Netx Labs Ltd, company number 11348776, which operates gettorqing.com and is responsible for the information described here. Questions, corrections and complaints: dealers@gettorqing.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
